Chad Lydick

Chad Lydick

Chad Lydick joined the Board of Regents in February 2008 and serves as president. A New Mexico native, he attended schools in Portales and Clovis and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from New Mexico State University in 1972. He is active in community affairs, having served as a Clovis City Commissioner, past president of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce and current member of the Washington committee for the “Committee of 50” that supports Cannon Air Force Base. He was honored as “Citizen of the Year” in 2005 by both the Clovis Board of Realtors and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. He is the owner of Lydick Engineers & Surveyors Inc. in Clovis. He and his wife, Vickie, reside in Clovis and have two children who were educated in New Mexico schools and state universities.

Randy Harris

Randy Harris

Randy Harris, vice president for the Board of Regents, was appointed in December 2008. Part of the banking business since 1979, Harris is CEO and president of Bank of Clovis. He has served on the New Mexico Military Base Planning Commission, the New Mexico Finance Authority Commission, the Clovis Chamber of Commerce and the New Mexico Baners Association. He was honored as the New Mexico Distinguished Citizen in 2007 and Clovis’ Citizen of the Year in 2004. Harris is a graduate of Clovis High School and West Texas A&M University. Harris and his wife, Cindy, reside in Clovis.

Marshall Stinnett

Marshall Stinnett

Marshall Stinnett has been a member of the Board of Regents since 2001. Stinnett served as president of the board in 2004, 2005 and 2010. He is a Portales native and Eastern New Mexico University alumnus, graduating with a degree in marketing and retailing in 1959. Capping a distinguished career in the newspaper industry, he is now vice president of Southern Newspapers. He lives in Portales with his wife, Helen.

Santana Chavez

Santana Chavez

Santana Chavez was appointed to the Board of Regents in February 2011.  Chavez, a life-long resident of Dora, NM, is the student regent and is seeking a degree in Communicative Disorders with an emphasis in Speech Pathology.  She has been active in student government, serving as student senate secretary, and is the president of the ENMU National Student Speech-Language and Hearing Association.  Chavez was a student volunteer to the New Mexico Speech-Language and Hearing Convention in 2010.  She currently volunteers at the ENMU Speech and Hearing Rehabilitation Outreach Center.  Chavez comes from a long line of Eastern alums, including her grandparents and her mother.

Brett Leach

Brett Leach

Brett Leach was appointed to the ENMU Board of Regents in February 2011.  Leach was born in Portales, graduated from Portales High School in 1965, and earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology from ENMU in1969 and 1971, respectively.  He was the instructor and director of Law Enforcement Education at the ENMU-Clovis campus in the 1970s before starting a long career in the financial sector.  Currently, he is a financial consultant for Southwest Securities, Inc. in Roswell.  Leach is past president of the Roswell Sunrise Rotary and the Chaves County CASA Program.  He and wife, Andrea, reside in Roswell.
