From Albuquerque: Take I-40 East 115 miles to Santa Rosa. At Santa Rosa, take US-84 exit number 277, to Fort Sumner. Turn right onto US-84 and travel south 40 miles to Fort Sumner. In Fort Sumner, turn left onto US-60/84 and travel east 55 miles to Clovis.
In Clovis, turn right onto US-70 and travel south 19 miles south to Portales. ENMU is located on the western side of Portales on US-70.

From Lubbock, Texas: Take US-84 West 100 miles to Clovis, NM. In Clovis, turn left onto US-70 and travel 19 miles to Portales. ENMU is located on the western side of Portales on US-70. There is a shortcut from Muleshoe, Texas, to Portales. On the western edge of Muleshoe, Texas, (on US-84) turn left onto FM 1760 and travel 24 miles. FM 1760 turns into NM-202 at the state line. Turn left onto US-70 and travel six miles into Portales.

From Amarillo, Texas: Take I-27 South 19 miles to Canyon, Texas, and take US-60 West/US-87 South exit number 110 to Canyon/Hereford. Merge onto US-60 West/US-87 South and travel 78 miles from Canyon to Texico, NM. At Texico, turn right onto US-60/70/84 and travel nine miles to Clovis, NM. In Clovis, turn left onto US-70 and travel 19 miles south to Portales. ENMU is located on the western side of Portales on US-70.

From Las Vegas, N.M.: Take I-25 South to US-84 South, exit number 339, to Romeroville/Santa Rosa. Travel 42 miles south on US-84 South to I-40 intersect. Take the I-40 East/US-84 South ramp. Travel 20 miles on I-40 East to Santa Rosa. At Santa Rosa, take the US-84 exit number 277 to Fort Sumner. Turn right onto US-84 and travel south 40 miles to Fort Sumner. In Fort Sumner, turn left onto US-60/84 and travel east 55 miles to Clovis. In Clovis, turn left onto US-70 and travel south 19 miles south to Portales. ENMU is located on the western side of Portales on US-70.

From Hobbs: Take NM-18 North 22 miles to Lovington. In Lovington, NM-18 North becomes US-82. Travel US-82 to the eastern edge of Lovington and take the NM-206 North ramp to Tatum. Travel north 84 miles on NM-206 to Portales. In Portales, turn left on US-70. ENMU is located on the western side of Portales on US-70.
