These Announcements were submitted to the Monday Memo by University Community Members (employees, students and retirees). Announcement submissions must be received by Thursday at noon for publication on the following Monday. To submit your Monday Memo item, use the Submit Announcement from the right sidebar. Storage Boxes Looking for Good Homes – The Golden Library has numerous magazine storage boxes of different sizes looking for a new home. If anyone is interested, please contact me at ext. 2628 on Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Photography Guidelines from the Office of Communication Services –
1. The Office of Communication Services (OCS) does not charge for photo services that are directly related to ENMU news stories, publications or the Web site.
2. There is no charge for taking photos of employees for their information files kept in OCS. These photos are available for any official University purpose.
3. OCS does not take passport, black and white, or personal photos.
4. For photo assignments other than the above (such as banquets, performances or other special or social events), OCS charges $8 per hour (minimum of one hour), plus the actual cost of film, film processing and photos.
5. Please request a photographer at least five working days in advance.
6. To best utilize the photographer’s time, and your money, please request the photographer at a specific time when the photos will actually be taken, and give OCS an advance copy of a list of photo shots needed. (If a photographer is requested through an entire event at which a meal is being served, it is customary to treat the photographer to a complimentary meal.)

Services for Janis Bundy Held Friday – Services for long-time ENMU employee Janis Bundy were held last Friday at Wheeler Chapel in Portales. Janis was hired on 12/2/85 as Word Processor II in University Printing Services, then was promoted to Typesetter on 1/18/88. On 7/1/90 she was promoted from support to professional as a Graphic Artist I, then was promoted to Graphic Artist II on 7/1/92. On 3/31/97 she accepted a promotion in Academic Affairs as Coordinator of Curriculum Services. Janis will be deeply missed by the University community.

ENMU-Ruidoso Scholarships Available for Fall Semester – Scholarships and other types of financial aid are available for fall 2003 semester classes at Eastern New Mexico University-Ruidoso. Scholarship applications are due at the College office, 709 Mechem, Aug. 1 for classes beginning Monday, Aug. 25. Assistance in applying for federal financial aid is also available during regular office hours for Eastern or for any college or university. Lottery “bridge” scholarships are available for May 2003 high school or GED graduates who are required by law to attend college in New Mexico in August. Mescalero and other Native American students can access several additional forms of financial aid through their tribal education office. Travel Training Offered – With the implementation of the recently approved travel regulations, the Business Office has scheduled training on the following dates:
July 23 at 1 p.m.
July 30 at 10 a.m.

Community College Board to Meet – The Community College Board of Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell will meet on Thursday, July 24 in Room 115 of the Occupational Technology Center on campus at 7 p.m. Items on the agenda include approval of summer graduates, a bond election resolution, and an orientation for board members. Aqua Aerobics – Eight, three-day rotations with Kristy Jones, Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays, 7-7:50 a.m., June 2-July 24, Natatorium. The fee is $12 per rotation or discounted to $90 prepaid for all 8 rotations. Please register by Friday prior to each rotation.
