ADJOURNMENT

ITS, Personnel to Change Reporting Command
Effective July 1, the Department of Information Technology Services will report to Ms. Ronnie Birdsong, vice president for University Relations and Enrollment Services. Ms. Birdsong has nine years of experience in overseeing technology at the university level.

Also on July 1, the Office of Personnel Services will begin reporting to Mr. Scott Smart, the incoming vice president for Business Affairs. Mr. Smart has extensive experience in the supervision of the personnel functional area.

Campus Crossroads Summer Schedule
– The schedule for Campus Crossroads dining for the summer session is as follows.
Breakfast $3.40 + tax: 7-8 a.m.
Lunch      $4.10 + tax: 12-1 p.m.
Dinner     $5.00 + tax: 5-6 p.m.

Master of Physical Education – Oral comprehensive examinations in the Department of Health and Physical Education will be conducted in Greyhound Arena Room 40 according to the following schedule: Gabriel Rodriguez – June 25, 3 p.m.; Jennifer Harrer – July 9, 3 p.m. For more information, call ext. 4344.

Death by Chocolate – for ages 12 years through adult with Carmen Matthews, Independent Kitchen Consultant, The Pampered Chef™. Learn a variety of garnishings including edible chocolate bowls to easy turtle fudge skillet cake, Tuesday, July 8, 6-8:30 p.m., FCS-98. The registration fee is $10 with a lab fee $7, payable to the instructor. Please register by July 3.
All About Humming Birds – with Dan True, Tuesday, July 8, 6:30-8:30 p.m., COB-137. The fee is $15. Please register by July 3.
Computer Basics – a basic computer class for those who know nothing about computers with Denise Hobbs, Wednesday, July 9, 6-8 p.m., UCC-107. The fee is $25. Please register by July 7.
Using Windows – an introductory overview of the Windows 2000 operating system with Denise Hobbs, Friday, July 11, 6-8 p.m., UCC-107. The fee is $25. Please register by July 8.
Scuba Diving – a two-weekend class with PADI Instructor Mike Hale, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 11-13, ENMU and Saturday and Sunday, July 19-20, Blue Hole, Santa Rosa, NM. Registration is $200 plus and $80 open water fee, payable to the instructor. Please call Extended Learning for specific times, location, material costs, age limitations, etc.
Album in a Day – complete an album with Creative Memories Consultant, Mandi Park, Saturday, July 12, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., COB-137. The registration fee is $10 with a $45 kit fee, payable to the instructor. Create Your Own Bonsai and Tray Landscapes – a complete demonstration of how it's done with 30-year veteran, Tim McGee, Tuesday, June 24, 6-8 p.m., FCS-100. The fee is $20. No materials needed. Please register by June 23.
One-Night Speedy Cross Stitch – beginners' class with Victoria Garrett, Cozy Cottage Cross Stitch Shoppe, 119 S Main St., will make a potpourri heart pillow Tuesday, June 24, 6:30 p.m. Registration is $7 with a kit fee of $5, payable to the instructor. Please register by June 23.
Partners in Tole Painting – taught by Janice Lee for adult/child (9 years and up) team with a bargain, price of only $35 for both to make your own wooden, patriotic heart. The only materials needed are water bowl, paper towels and brushes since Janice is providing all other supplies within a $5 per team kit fee, payable to the instructor. Plan to bring a sack lunch or break for lunch if your prefer, Saturday, June 28, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., FCS-100. Please register by June 25.
Ballet/Tap/Jazz – four-week classes for ages 3 years and up with Summer Lasiter beginning the week of June 30, GA-11. The fee is $20 with leotard, tights and appropriate shoes required. Please call Extended Learning for specific class times.
Adult Ballet with Summer Lasiter – Mondays, 6-6:50 p.m., June 30-July 21, GA-11. Little to no experience required. The fee is $20. Please wear comfortable clothing. Ballet slippers are optional.
Step by Step Accounting I and II – join Gene Smith, Instructor of Accounting, for either or both of these classes Mondays, 6-8 p.m., COB-137. Accounting I will meet June 30 and July 7 while Accounting II will meet July 14 and 21. Each two-week class is $40.
Cooking with Kids – for ages 5 years and up, accompanied by a parent, with Carmen Matthews, Independent Kitchen Consultant, The Pampered Chef™ for the team price of $10. A $7 lab fee is payable to the instructor. Join Carmen Tuesday, June 17, 6-8:30 p.m., FCS-98.
The Busy Gourmet Strikes Again! – join Jan Hauptmann, this time for a brunch menu including baked ham with brown sugar pecan glaze, breakfast casserole, quick breads, yogurt smoothies and a richly blended ambrosia, Thursday, June 19, 6-9 p.m., FCS-98. The registration fee is $15 with a lab fee of $5, payable to the instructor.
Designing Your Own Water Garden – learn how to design and create a water garden from location and construction to fish/plant life and maintenance. For ages 12 years through adult with Margaret Estrada, Saturday, June 21, 1-5 p.m., COB-128. The fee is only $15!
How to Design and Publish a Simple Web Page – hands-on class with Tim McGee, Distance Education Supervisor, Tuesday, June 10, 6-8 p.m., UCC-107. The fee is $20. Please bring an optional disk with pictures if you want them placed on your Web site.
Aqua Aerobics – Eight, three-day rotations with Kristy Jones, Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays, 7-7:50 a.m., June 2-July 24, Natatorium. The fee is $12 per rotation or discounted to $90 prepaid for all 8 rotations. Please register by Friday prior to each rotation.
Swimming – for ages 4 years and up with Kristi Jones, Red Cross Certified Instructor, Natatorium. Three, 8-day rotations, Mondays-Thursdays, 9-9:50 a.m. are available beginning: Rotation #1-June 2; #2- June 23; and #3-July 14. Registration per rotation is $40 and includes a Red Cross certification card for the level passed. Enrollment is limited and parental consent required.
Yoga – for ages 14 years through adult with Lisa Moyer, Tuesdays/Thursdays, June 3-July 24 (no class July 8 and 10), 7-7:50 p.m., GA-11. Please wear comfortable clothes. Please call Extended Learning to make arrangements for pro-rated payments.
Introduction to Microsoft Word XP – cover the basics as well as a few intermediate features with Denise Hobbs, Monday, July 14, 6-8 p.m., COB, UCC-107. The fee is $30. Please register by July 9.
