PORTALES—Several on-campus groups at Eastern New Mexico University, as well as the Portales City Council, have passed resolutions supporting Bond D, which would provide $9 million to ENMU to renovate its Technology Building, $2 million for infrastructure, and $1 million to complete renovation of the Music Building. The cost to taxpayers would be $9.77 per year for a $100,000 home.
The groups passing resolutions include the ENMU Board of Regents, Faculty Senate, Professional Senate, Support Senate, Student Government Senate, ENMU Alumni Association Board of Directors, ENMU Foundation Board of Directors, and the Portales City Council.
Early voting continues until the general election on Nov. 4.
Steven Gamble, ENMU president, said, “We, including the students, faculty and staff, are very grateful for the support provided by these organizations. We appreciate the support that the citizens of this area have always shown Eastern.”
