PORTALES—Eastern New Mexico University in Portales will open its juried exhibit “A Cup of What…. What’s A Cup?” on March 16- April 10. This three-dimensional cup show will be displayed in Golden Library in the foyer. Mary Finneran, associate professor of art and a ceramicist, along with Christopher Calderón, Runnels Gallery manager and a mixed media artist, will jury the show.

The exhibition is open to ENMU students, faculty, staff and alumni. Only three-dimensional “cups” can be entered which may be functional or non- functional. The featured work must be original, completed recently, and not previously shown at ENMU. The cups must be no higher than four feet, no wider than three feet, and have a maximum depth of 10 inches. Since the exhibit is open to the public for viewing, content and imagery should be child-friendly and media should be unlikely to harm the library.

The entry fee is $5 for one or two entries or $10 for three to four entries per artist. Entrants may submit up to a maximum of four entries.

Entries, complete with the cup, fee and entry form, must be dropped off in the Golden Library Foyer between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13. Artists will be notified by e-mail of acceptance.

A monetary award is guaranteed for best of show, second and third place. All entry fees go toward awards. The award money is dependent upon the number of entries received.
