PORTALES—Tickets for Eastern New Mexico University’s 75th Anniversary Founders' Day Picnic on Sunday, June 28 in front of the ENMU Administration Building in Portales are $6 each. The menu includes two pieces of fried chicken, white bread, pickle, corn on the cob, mustard potato salad, boiled egg, dessert and drinks.
The fried chicken and bread symbolize the Depression-era New Deal theme of "a chicken in every pot" prosperity.
Everyone buying a ticket will also receive an "ENMU 75th Anniversary" sun visor.
Tickets can be purchased at the chambers of commerce in Clovis and Portales, and at the Information Center in the ENMU Administration Building.
