PORTALES—Antwone Cobbin from Lancaster, Texas, is enrolled as a new freshman at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales.
ENMU has a record enrollment of 4,685 this fall. The previous record of 4,342 in the fall of 1972 had stood for 37 years. Among the record enrollment is 627 new freshmen, a 10.4 percent increase over the 2008 fall semester.
ENMU offers over 70 majors leading to associate, bachelor and master degrees.
