The Portales Arts Council recently hosted the inaugural Artists-in-Residence program. The display of the artists’ work will remain in the Runnel's Gallery of Golden Library at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales until July 15. Ryder Richards and Sue Anne Rische of Dallas, Texas, created the works. The artists took inspiration from the Portales area and worked 12-14 hours a day creating the exhibit. Chris Taylor, president of the Portales Arts Council and assistant professor of management in the College of Business at ENMU, and his wife, Dawn Wolf-Taylor, recruiter for ENMU’s nursing program, hosted the artists during their stay.
