PORTALES—Students interested in mathematics, the natural sciences or engineering are invited to apply to the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program.
The scholarship award covers eligible expenses up to a maximum of $7,500 per year.
To be eligible, a student must be a current full-time sophomore or junior and pursuing a baccalaureate degree, have a B average or equivalent, stand in the upper fourth of the class, and be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. national who will pursue a career in mathematics, the natural sciences or engineering.
