With a mixture of broad comedy, biting satire and pathos, Christopher Durang's "The Marriage of Bette and Boo" tracks the dissolution of a marriage over the course of 30 years. All the characters in the play are emotionally wounded, yet they continue merrily along in this farcical treatment of love, family and dreams. Since its first production in 1985, when it received numerous awards, the play has appeared widely across America
This production is under the direction of Joseph Kline, dean of the College of Fine Arts. The main characters are ENMU's Robert Garcia (Raton, N.M.) as Matt, Brandon Gilliard (Clovis, N.M.) as Boo and Mandi Hatcher (Clovis, N.M.) as Bette.
In addition to their four performances, the cast will perform for visiting high school drama students during the Department of Theatre's 57th annual Drama Festival on Feb. 15-17 on the Portales campus.
