PORTALES –Eastern New Mexico University in Portales announces a call for art entries for the 3rd Annual K through ENMU Juried Youth Exhibition as part of National Youth Art Month in March. Deadline to enter artwork is 5 p.m. Thursday, March 8 in the Art Office of the Art and Anthropology Building.

The exhibition is free to enter and open to students in kindergarten through their senior year of college that are within 50 miles of Eastern New Mexico University. Students in public school, private school or are homeschooled are eligible.

Only one entry per student is allowed; traditional studio art or digital art are welcomed including photography.

"This is a great event for young aspiring artists to get involved with," explains Bryan Hahn, Runnels Gallery manager. "Young artists are given the opportunity to experience what a juried show is like, how it feels to have their work displayed in a professional gallery, and the experience of selling their work if they so choose."

Submissions to the exhibition will be juried (evaluated and selected) by a panel of ENMU faculty and administration members. Submissions chosen for inclusion in the exhibition will be featured in the Runnels Gallery within the ENMU Golden Library from March 13-30.

A reception will be held in honor of all those artists selected for inclusion in the show on Friday, March 30, 5-6:30 p.m. in the Runnels Gallery. Awards will be announced at 5:45 p.m.
