PORTALES—Eastern New Mexico University will host the senior music project of Alicia Grinsteiner on Friday, April 20, at 7 p.m. in Buchanan Hall of the Music Building on the Portales campus.
This event is free and open to the public.
Her presentation will focus on the development and evolution of the electric bass guitar and will include a lecture by Grinsteiner and a performance of various jazz pieces written by composers Paul Desmond, Morgan Lewis, Johnny Mandel and Mile Davis.
Performances will feature Grinsteiner on electric bass guitar, with collaborative bassists Steven Cathey and Zack Hinds on one song.
This project is in partial completion of the degree bachelor of science in music.
