PORTALES Eastern New Mexico University’s Department of Music will host a single-reed instrument recital on Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. in Buchanan Hall of the Music Building on the Portales campus.
It is free and open to the public.
This concert will feature the clarinet and saxophone families. Clarinets are under the direction of Jennifer Laubenthal, and saxophones are under the direction of Christopher Beaty.
Repertoire includes pieces from composers Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Leonard Bernstein, Eugene Bozza, John Mackey, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Hoyt S. Curtin.
