PORTALES--The move-in day for incoming freshmen at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales is on Saturday, Aug. 18.
With highway construction underway around Portales and one of the main entrances to town and ENMU at Highway 70 closed off, traffic is being re-routed for those coming to campus.
Those coming from the north on Highway 70 should turn onto Kilgore at the light by Wal-Mart and turn right at 18th Street.
Those coming from the south on Highway 70 should turn onto 18th Street at the “Welcome to Portales” sign. Once on 18th Street, turn onto Avenue L where they will be directed by traffic guards.
Once their cars are unloaded on campus, they will be directed by traffic guards on how to proceed.
