PORTALES – Eastern New Mexico University's Department of Music will host Justin McMurdo's Guest Guitar Recital at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 1, in Buchanan Hall in the Music Building on the Portales campus.
McMurdo received his associate in arts degree with emphasis in music at San Juan College in Farmington, N.M. He then received his bachelor's degree in music education with emphasis in guitar and percussion at Eastern New Mexico University. While at ENMU, he primarily studied guitar with past ENMU guitar professor Roland Stearns, and percussion with ENMU percussion instructor Neil Rutland.
He has continued his studies, and received his master of music degree at the University of New Mexico.
The recital is free and open to the public.
