PORTALES–Communication Services at Eastern New Mexico University won the Gold Award (first place) for "Design Improvement" at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District IV Conference in Ft. Worth, Texas, this week.
CASE encompasses higher education institutions in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
The publication, designed by Jim Dodson, Scott Kendall and Wanda Newberry, was for the Blackwater Draw Archaeological Site.
At the conference, Steven Gamble, ENMU president, received the E. Joseph Savoie Chief Executive Leadership Award.
Ronnie Birdsong, vice president for University Relations and Enrollment Services, served on the Conference Leadership Committee, was in charge of the Awards Gallery/Recognition and presented awards.
Robert Graham, coordinator of Alumni Affairs, received a Newcomers' Scholarship to attend.
