PORTALES – African-American Affairs at Eastern New Mexico University is sponsoring Byron Motley's presentation and film on "The Negro Baseball League" at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 15, in the Pecos Room of the Campus Union Building on the Portales campus.
It is free and open to the public.
Motley, a filmmaker, photographer, musician, author and lecturer, will discuss how the Negro Leagues not only affected African-American history, but American history. His film was produced by PBS.
His book, "Ruling Over Monarchs, Giants, and Stars," will be available for signing.
The event is co–sponsored by the Associated Students Activities Board.
