PORTALES – Eastern New Mexico University will dedicate Guadalupe Hall at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, on the Portales campus.  The residence hall was named after Guadalupe County.

The $15.6 million, three-story structure is on the site where the previous dorm, Lincoln Hall, was torn down.

The facility has 308 beds, with each four-person suite having two two-person rooms with a bathroom in between.  On the bottom floor, there is a large community lounge with a fireplace.

Students began living in Guadalupe Hall at the beginning of the 2013 spring semester.

Speaking at the dedication will be Steven Gamble, ENMU president, Brett Leach, president of the ENMU Board of Regents, and Rey Coss, president of the student body.

The public is invited.
