PORTALES—The Department of Theatre and Dance at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales will present "Orbiting Another Body" at 7 p.m. nightly from Wednesday, Jan. 31, through Saturday, Feb. 3. Tickets are $4.
It is an evening of new choreographic works by Eastern students and faculty. The concert consists of a wide variety of styles, including swing, jazz and modern dance, and features the works of Rojun Alexander, Marciana Cortez, Liana Garcia, Helle Hatten, Whitney Hobson, Desirée Markham, Anatalio Domenic Nickles, Joseph Sanders, Jennifer Senn and Taryn Wilson.
These budding choreographers have created a diverse evening of dance that explores such themes as good versus evil, the loss of a friend, being an individual in a society, and the passion shared between lovers.
