PORTALES—The Jack Williamson Endowed Chair at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales will present "Flores Argentinas" (Argentinean Flowers) in a free concert titled "Music, Poetry and Botany" at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, in the Becky Sharp Auditorium in the College of Business. Performing will be the Inca Rose Duo with Annelise Skovmand, voice, Pablo Gonzalez Jazey, guitar, and with guest artist Alberto Rojo, guitar. Rojo is serving in the Jack Williamson Endowed Chair for Science and Humanities at Eastern.
The public is welcome.
The group will perform songs by Argentinean composers Alberto Ginastera and Carlos Guastavino. Botanical information about flowers that will be presented was developed in partnership with the College of Natural Sciences at the National University of Tucumán, Argentina.
