Jennifer Poyer has been named as Eastern New Mexico University's Webmaster. She was formerly the Events Manager for the ENMU Department of Athletics.
Poyer is an alumnus of ENMU, graduating in May 1997 with a degree in public relations. During her collegiate career, Poyer was an All-American volleyball and basketball player for the Zias.
Her former position in the Department of Athletics included special events, promotions, fund-raising and maintaining the Athletics web site.
As Webmaster for ENMU, Poyer will refine, create, and manage existing web pages for ENMU. She is also heavily involved with the current site renovation, which will debut in early summer. She will also create new web pages, add web-based functions, and maintain the quality of the University web site.
Poyer's previous web-related experience involved developing web sites for several years, including her work as a graphic consultant for ENMU. In 1996, Poyer was responsible for updating the front-page graphics and creating background for the first- and second-level pages on the ENMU site.
"This is what I've always wanted to do; this is my dream job," Poyer said. A bonus for Mrs. Poyer is being able to work at Eastern, the school she loves.
"I think it's great having the opportunity to make a positive difference at Eastern,
doing the things I love to do," she said. Poyer is the first-ever full-time Webmaster at ENMU, and is excited about her duties. "I'm thrilled to be working at Eastern in this capacity," she added.
Poyer is married to Inosia Poyer, ENMU assistant volleyball coach. They
have a 15-month-old son, Malkolm.
