PORTALES – Eastern New Mexico University's College of Business will hold its 18th annual Business Appreciation Luncheon at noon on Wednesday, April 24, in the Campus Union Ballroom.
The luncheon will feature Stevan Pearce, owner/operator of Lea Fishing Tools in Hobbs, N.M., and a former state representative. Pearce will speak about business success in New Mexico.
An ENMU graduate, Pearce placed second in a three-candidate Republican primary for the United States Senate in 2000. He served six years in the Air Force, attaining the rank of captain. After his military service, he was a private and corporate pilot prior to buying Lea Fishing Tools in 1989.
This event is open to the general public. Tickets are $4 for students and $7 for general admission.
