ROSWELL – Nadine A. Montoya, Administrative Computing Systems Manager at ENMU-Roswell, has been appointed Region VI Director for the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC). Montoya will begin her two-year term on July 1.

As Regional Director, Nadine will perform a number of duties, such as promoting AAWCC chapter development, organizing a regional meeting, and developing a newsletter. She will meet twice a year with the AAWCC Board of Directors to exchange ideas and receive assistance. Nadine will also help determine the direction the national organization will take.

"This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women in community colleges, as well as the opportunity to grow myself," said Nadine. "I plan to lead the region in 2002-2004 by investing the time and effort necessary to pursue ideas and values by providing the means and support to nurture an environment where everyone can reach their organizational goals and their own personal goals," she said.

Nadine has an associate of applied science degree in business technology from the University of New Mexico and is in the process of completing a bachelor's degree in business administration through UNM. She is the daughter of Robert Montoya and MaryJane Garcia of Socorro. Nadine and her husband, Pat Olguin, have two children, Justin and Nicole.
