ROSWELL – The Hispano Chamber of Commerce and ENMU-Roswell are sponsoring the Roswell appearance of "In the Absence of Bread, Crack'er" – a domestic fantasia on familial themes. The play will be presented on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center on campus. The public is invited, and admission is free.
Written and directed by Eduardo Juan Andino, the play is sponsored statewide by the New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence and presented by Working Classroom's award-winning multicultural theater company.
The close, almost claustrophobic collaboration between Andino and the company actors resonates in a provocative, emotionally charged and often poetic tour of the cycles of domestic violence.
