PORTALES – Erica Cordova, a senior broadcast major at Eastern New Mexico University, is excited about the possibility of Eastern getting a new communications center.
"A new communications building would set a foundation for an even better communications program," the Albuquerque native says. Erica added that ENMU's communication program is already one of the best, and a new building will just improve the program.
According to Erica, the broadcast department of the communications program is arguably one of the best in the Southwest.
"A new communications building would help recruit more students to ENMU, not just statewide but nationwide," Erica says.
According to Erica, ENMU's current broadcast center is relatively old and does not have a lot of room. "We receive great training in the existing facility, but we could use more room," says Erica. "A new building would definitely make the communications program even better."
Erica says she believes that if Bond Issue "B" passes, it could help make Eastern's communications program one of the best in the country.
"A new building would be the icing on the cake," Erica says enthusiastically.
