ENMU alumnus Don Bullis will sign copies of his book Bloodville in the Campus Bookstore on Nov. 22.

PORTALES – Eastern New Mexico University alumnus Don Bullis shows that it is possible to change careers but stay in the same line of work. He will sign his new novel on Nov. 22 in the Campus Bookstore.

Bullis, a resident of Rio Rancho, N.M., recently retired from a long career in New Mexico law enforcement and is now receiving critical praise for his third novel, Bloodville. The book details the 1967 killings of two Budville, N.M., residents and the controversy surrounding the murders, the trials and the characters involved.

Bullis combines his experience in law enforcement with his interest in history to "provide a quick, interesting and educational read," according to The Rio Rancho Observer. The newspaper says that Bloodville "provides a unique look inside one of the area's unsolved murders."

Bullis graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in American Literature and American History from ENMU in 1970. He will sign copies of Bloodville on Nov. 22 from 2-4 p.m. at the ENMU Bookstore.
