ROSWELL – Three ENMU-Roswell students have been selected to receive scholarships from the Roswell Woman's Club this fall semester. Each will receive $750 to be used toward continuing their education.

The scholarship recipients and their majors are: Toni Ingram, University Studies/Nursing; Tamarah Bustamante, Child Development; and Sharla Tucker, Nursing.

Betty Beagles, Roswell Woman's Club president, presented a check for $2,250 to Jessie Hall, Financial Aid director, following the selection of the scholarship recipients.

Beagles said the club enjoys providing the scholarships to students in need. Three additional $750 scholarships will be given in the spring semester. Hall thanked club members saying because of their support, the Financial Aid office can continue to assist students in meeting their educational goals.

Each semester, the Roswell Woman's Club awards three scholarships to female students pursuing majors in General Studies, Liberal Arts and Health Occupations at ENMU-Roswell. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full time and demonstrate financial need.

Organized in 1895, the Roswell Woman's Club also supports the Southeastern New Mexico Historical Society; scholarships to women for continuing education; the Roswell Public Library; and the Refuge for Battered Adults.
