PORTALES – The Eastern New Mexico University chapter of Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) will assist the Golden Nugget (minature doughnuts) company jump-start their business.
SIFE hopes to build awareness for this enterprise through marketing and public relations activities. SIFE is also participating in the actual production and sale of the product. The focus is on learning first-hand the comparative details and management of a start-up business.
Golden Nugget will be located at the vendor stand in the College of Business lobby. Sales will be conducted every Monday from 8-11 a.m.
Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) is a global non-profit organization that works in partnership with business and higher education to help college students take what they're learning in the classroom and apply it to real-life situations. Each year, SIFE Teams worldwide develop and implement thousands of educational outreach projects in their communities that are designed to teach others the principles of the free enterprise system. SIFE National Financial Independence Month projects conducted by SIFE Teams are eligible for awards totaling $13,500.
