PORTALES—EasternNew Mexico University is hosting the annual High School Drama Festivalfrom 8 a.m.–midnight on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 26–27, and from 8a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the University Theatre Center onthe Portales campus. This is an opportunity for 500 young adults from23 schools in the region to participate in drama workshops andperformances.
The participants are: Navajo PreparatorySchool, Burges High School, Roswell High School, Clayton High School,Tatum High School, Portales High School, Ruidoso High School, CarlsbadHigh School, Silver High School, Los Alamos High School, Mayfield HighSchool, Moriarty High School, Santa Fe High School, Cobre High School,Kaleidoscope Company, Cliff High School, Albuquerque High School,Highland High School, West Mesa High School, Valley High School, MenaulHigh School, and Eldorado High School. Chairman of the festival is Mr.Felipe Macias, chair of the Department of Theatre/professor of Theatre.Coordinators include ENMU students Jennifer Livingston and Ryan Cook.
