ENMU Hosting 16 de Septiembre Celebration

PORTALES —Hispanic Affairs at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales is hosting 16 de Septiembre Celebration in remembrance of Mexico's Independence Day.

The celebration will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Campus Union Ballroom. Students and the community are invited. The celebration will include a performance from the Raramuri, a group of dancers who will perform dances from different states in Mexico, and refreshments and prizes will be given.

A fireworks show will be located between the Campus Bookstore and the water
fountain at 8 p.m.
