PORTALES--Glen O'Rear, Investment Representative for Edward Jones, will teach "Investing for Income," an Extended Learning Course at Eastern New Mexico University. The class will be held every Tuesday in October from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Edward Jones on 403 West Fourth in Portales.
"The class is an introduction to investing," says O'Rear. The class will cover topics like how to select the right stocks and bonds, as well as how to maximize returns on investments and minimize your risks.
"With the low interest rates that we have in today's market, it's hard to make money on what investments that you currently have," says O'Rear.
The class is geared to everyone so that they can make the right financial decisions. The fee for the course is $20, with an additional $8 to the instructor. The registration deadline is Sept. 30.
