ENMU Carol of Lights Set for Friday

PORTALES--The second annual Carol of Lights, organized by the President's
Ambassadors at Eastern New Mexico University, is set for 5-6 p.m. on Friday,
Dec. 5, on the ENMU campus in Portales.

The event will begin at 4:45 p.m. with the ENMU Brass Quintet playing at the
Campus Union Building (CUB). At 5 p.m. the Swanee Singers will lead a
procession through the luminarias on campus and back to the CUB. Following
an official welcome by ENMU president Steven Gamble, Portales mayor Orlando
Ortega will speak. The Portales Junior High Choir will then perform,
followed by the announcement by Steve Doerr of the Miss Merry Christmas
candidates. Bonnie Sink will then announce the winners of the ENMU Door
Decorating Contest, followed by a performance from the Portales High School
choir. Refreshments will then be served inside the CUB.
