PORTALES--Eastern New Mexico University will hold its 105th
Commencement Convocation at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec.13, in Greyhound Arena
on the Portales campus. There are 270 candidates for graduation: 25 for
associate's degrees, 209 for bachelor's degrees, and 36 for master's
degrees.
The commencement speaker is Dr. Julia Rosa Lopez-Emslie, professor
of bilingual education.
Other events commemorating graduation are planned for Friday, Dec.
12. Alumni Affairs will hold a commencement reception from 4-5 p.m. in the
Campus Union Ballroom. The reception is for new graduates and their families
and friends. The Fall 2003 Academic Honors Convocation will also be held
Friday at 3 p.m. in the University Theatre Center for those graduating with
honors. The Board of Regents will meet that morning at 9:30 a.m. the
Regents' Room in the Administration Building.
The public is invited to all activities.
