PORTALES--Over the years the Henry siblings have made Eastern New Mexico
University their home. In the spring of 2000, Emily (Henry) Moore graduated
with a degree in biology; in the spring of 2003, Sara Henry graduated with a
degree in business and now in the fall of 2003 the third Henry sibling,
Patrick Henry Jr., will graduate with a degree in agriculture this Saturday,
Dec. 13.
However, the trend of Henry siblings doesn't stop there: currently, Andrew
Henry is attending ENMU with plans to graduate in May of 2005, and the
youngest sister, Eileen Henry--currently attending Alamogordo High
School--has plans to attend Eastern in the fall of 2005. The family jokes
that since four of them have already gone to Eastern, then the last of their
siblings should go for free.
Emily is currently living in Albany, N.Y., with her husband, Aaron Moore.
She is employed with Albany Molecular Research, Organichem Corporation in
Rensselaer, NY.
Sara moved to Tucson, Ariz., in the summer of 2003 where she is working as a
human resource manager for Sierra Landscaping. Patrick, the
soon-to-be-graduate, has plans to pursue a career with BNSF Railroad in
Clovis.
Patrick said the reason he attended Eastern was "because I enjoyed the
small-school atmosphere. I made a lot of friends, had a lot of fun, and also
got a good education," he said with a smile. He also mentioned that Dr. Dann
Brown, associate professor of agriculture, influenced him and his siblings
the most and has become a family friend.
All five siblings will be in Portales for Patrick's graduation.
