PORTALES--Dr. Donald Elder III, professor of history and department chair at
Eastern New Mexico University, has been asked to review a book on the Civil
War titled "An Uncommon Time: The Civil War and the Northern Homefront,"
edited by Paul A. Cimbala & Randall M. Miller.
The 750-word review will appear in The Annals of Iowa, published by the
University of Iowa Press.
Dr. Elder has published several books on the Civil War, and is considered an
expert in the field.
