PORTALES—EasternNew Mexico University in Portales will host a biofuel expert from 11a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Nov. 22, in Room 108 of the Science Building.
PlamenB. Atanassov, professor of chemical and nuclear engineering at theUniversity of New Mexico, will speak on "Glucose/air enzymatic biofuelcell."
Atanassov is one of theleading researchers in the field of biofuel cells. Robert Long, ENMUassistant professor of chemistry, has been collaborating with himduring the past five years in the field of fuel cells. Atanassov alsoserved as a post-doctoral supervisor to ENMU assistant chemistryprofessor Juchao Yan in the field of nanostructured materials andbiosensors.
This seminar issupported by the ENMU Chapter of Sigma Xi and the ENMU Department ofPhysical Sciences. The public is invited free of charge.
