Thenew "crocodile" (Caiman crocodylus, a South American alligatorid) inthe Natural History Museum in Roosevelt Hall at Eastern New MexicoUniversity recently made its official debut in its new home. Dr. MarvinLutnesky, chair of the Department of Biology, notes that the croc isnow available for viewing by all visitors, and that a naming contestwill be held next semester. For the last year the creature had beenliving in a tank in an enclosed area in the back of the ScienceBuilding.
