ENMU Sets POPS Concert for November 17

PORTALES—Tickets are on sale (mail orders only) at $25 for the annual POPS Concert in the Campus Union Ballroom at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. Tables for eight can be reserved. Individuals and smaller groups will be assigned tables.

This will be the 40th POPS Concert, and musical favorites from 40 years ago will be featured. In addition to the University’s Wind Symphony, Swanee Singers will perform several 60's tunes and medleys of the Beach Boys and Lennon and McCartney. They will also perform some of the music that will be featured at next spring's Smithsonian Traveling Food exhibit ("Key Ingredients") at ENMU, including "Food, Glorious Food" from Oliver, Java Jive and Good Ale. Swanee Singers is directed by Jason Paulk and accompanied by Kayla Paulk.

The meal is Chicken Kiev, rice pilaf, green beans, salad, rolls, cheesecake and coffee. A vegetarian option, if requested, is also available.
