PORTALES—Eastern New Mexico University will host its 113th Commencement Convocation on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. in Greyhound Arena.
There are 244 candidates for the 2007 fall graduation.
The keynote speaker will be Janeice Scarbrough, chair of theater and dance.
"I don’t remember ever giving a speech; I play parts and do monologues,"
Scarbrough said.
She says that the new graduates should listen cautiously to advice, but still find their own way. She also believes that, "An Eastern degree will take students anywhere they want to go."
The Fall 2007 Academic Honors Convocation, for students receiving graduation honors, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, in the University Theatre Center.
The ENMU Alumni Association New Graduate Reception will be from 2:30–3:30 p.m. in the Campus Union Ballroom. The ENMU Alumni Association sponsors the reception and invites family, friends, faculty and staff.
The Board of Regents will meet on Friday, Dec. 14 at 9:30 a.m. in the Regents Room in the Administration Building.
