PORTALES—Teachers, parents, and other community members are invited to review and comment on the proposed Education Career Technical, Adult Basic Education and Driver Education textbooks approved for adoption by the State of New Mexico's Department of Education Instructional Material Bureau.
The textbooks are available for examination at the Instructional Resource Center (IRC) in Eastern New Mexico University's Golden Library. The IRC is located on the second floor of Golden Library and is open on Sunday noon to midnight, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to midnight, Friday 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and by appointment.
New Mexico follows a six-year cycle in approving textbooks for each subject area for use in the public schools.
