PORTALES—Hampton Sides, acclaimed author of "Blood and Thunder: The Epic Story of Kit Carson and the Conquest of the American West," will speak in the Becky Sharp Auditorium in the College of Business Building at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales on Monday, March 10.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
There will be a meet-and-greet from 4–4:30 p.m., his presentation from 4:30–5:30 p.m., and a reception from 5:30–6 p.m.
Sponsors include Eastern New Mexico University, Friends of the Bosque Redondo Memorial, the Zeta-Pi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, and the ENMU History Guild.
