ACT: American College Test

This test is required as an entrance exam for many colleges. It tests your skills in English, math, reading and science reasoning. Registration packages are available online.

ACT-R: American College Test-Residual

This is the same test as the National ACT exam mentioned above. Scores for this test, however, will only apply for students enrolling in the college or university where the test is administered. Scores for the ACT-R will not transfer to other colleges and universities. A schedule of dates and times the exam is offered at ENMU is available upon request.

CCTST: California Critical Thinking Skills Test

This test is used by ENMU for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and measures the student's ability to think in critical situations. The test, offered only to incoming ENMU nursing students, is available upon request with 24-hour advance notice.

CLEP: College Level Examination Program

This computer-based test for college students and upper-level high school students offers the possibility to earn up to 30 college credit hours. Exams are given to cover 37 specific subject areas. A schedule of dates and times the exam is offered at ENMU is available upon request.

GRE: Graduate Record Examination

This test is required for admission to many graduate programs, just as the ACT/SAT is required for admission to many colleges. ENMU only administers the subject only tests, not the general exam. Registration packages are available online.

LSAT: Law School Admission Test

The LSAT is required for admission to most law programs. Registration and information booklets with the test dates are available upon request. Online registration is available.

MAT: Miller Analogies Test

This test is used by many institutions for admission to their graduate programs. The test is given in the Testing Center upon request with 24-hour advance notice.

New Mexico Spanish Language Proficiency Exam (Prueba de Español)

This is the test you need to take if you are seeking a bilingual education endorsement to a New Mexico teaching license. You can also request a study guide using the registration form.

PRAXIS: Professional Assessment for Beginning Teachers

PRAXIS tests are used by many states as part of their teacher certification process. Colleges and universities also use these tests to qualify individuals for entry into educational programs. Registration and schedule information is available upon request.

SAT: Scholastic Assessment Test

Like the ACT, this test is required as an entrance exam for many colleges. The exam measures reasoning ability and academic achievement. The Testing Center administers both the SAT I Reasoning and SAT II Subject tests. A schedule of national test dates and registration packets are available upon request. Online registration is available.
