
The Cooperative Institutional Research Project (CIRP) Freshman Survey, sponsored by the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA, is the largest and oldest project of its kind. The CIRP annually surveys freshman students on demographic data, high school preparation, values, attitudes, goals, and opinions. In this issue of the DataWave, students' reasons for choosing ENMU are reported. The results over the seven years reported are very consistent. The top five reasons that freshman students reported for choosing ENMU are:
The percentage of students who felt attending ENMU for any particular reason was "important" are a combination of those who responded "very important" and "somewhat important."
