In our electronics engineering technology program, you will gain advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: electronics, communications, control, renewable energy and circuits. The knowledge and hands-on experience gained in the Bachelor’s of Applied Arts and Sciences with a concentration in electronics engineering technology, equips you for a job with companies like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and ONCOR. If you have an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAS) with a technical or vocational major from a Council for Higher Education-recognized organization and are interested in electronics engineering, our Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) with a concentration in electronics engineering is a great fit for you. The average time frame for completing a BAAS degree is two years.

Learning Format for Electronics Engineering Technology Coursework

Our Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) concentration in electronics engineering is designed to be completed online. You’ll be completing assignments, readings, labs, tests and projects throughout the semester. Recorded and live lectures via Mediasite and Blackboard will connect you with professors and other students at your convenience, rather than during a specific time. In this program, you have the option to take all classes online or a combination of online and in-person. Our program is designed with the working professional in mind.

Advising for Electronics Engineering Technology

When you join our program we want to make sure you have all the resources and advice you need to successfully complete our program. To do this, we offer advising via phone or email. We look forward to working with you!

Electronics Engineering Technology Resources

At ENMU, we want to make sure you get the help you need. We offer several tutoring services, including the Online Writing Center (OWL), which is exclusively for distance education students. The OWL is available to help you improve your writing and help you communicate clearly for written, school-related projects and assignments. We also have online databases, journal articles and eBooks accessible through the Golden Student Success Center. Since ENMU has a dedicated distance education librarian on staff, you’ll always have the help you need to take advantage of library resources.

See our distance education library services >

As an electronics engineering student, you’ll find your textbooks, lab manuals and lectures will answer many of your questions. We also have teaching assistants (TAs) assigned to each course who can help you with course specific questions. For questions and concerns you can’t find in the course material, you can always email or call your professor.

EET Scholarships and Financial Assistance

ENMU is committed to helping you finance your education. You can get information about admissions scholarships and find out why more than $22 million in financial assistance was awarded to ENMU students last year. Once you are an enrolled ENMU student, you’ll have access to even more scholarships.

Career Opportunities in Electronics Engineering

Major companies like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and ONCOR have hired ENMU graduates in electronics engineering. Our students have been actively sought out for summer internships and jobs by ONCOR. Starting positions at ONCOR provide an excellent starting salary and financial contributions to graduate school. The bottom line is: we prepare you for life beyond college.

When you receive a BAAS degree with an electronics engineering technology concentration, you can look forward to an enhanced career. Post-graduate career opportunities are dependent on the core upper-level EET courses completed for this concentration. With this degree, you may pursue careers in: development, testing and maintenance of electrical and electronic circuits, the renewable energy technology industry, industries requiring PLC operation and programming or supervising and maintaining electronic equipment such as communication systems. In addition to advisors and departments, we offer free job placement assistance to all ENMU students, so if you are looking for a job, we can help you find it.
