Do you enjoy being active? Do you want to help people maintain a healthy sense of self? Do you dream of wearing workout clothes to work? The fitness industry is a multibillion-dollar industry and a degree in sports and recreation management can help you meet a need in a growing career field. Our sport and recreation management emphasis prepares you to work in high school sport administration, private sport clubs and professional sports. Our program sets itself apart through an applied internship that gives you practical, hands-on experience and electives that give you an opportunity to specialize or explore an area of interest. Although the time frame for degree completion varies with the individual student, the physical education major is structured as a four-year degree program. The degree can be completed three ways: entirely on-campus, online (through web-based or lecture-capture based courses) or through a combination of both.
