ENMU's Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) program allows you to earn your bachelor's degree in two years if you have an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree or at least 30 hours in a career-technical related discipline from an accredited institution.

Our BAAS degree program requires you to complete a minimum of 30 hours of career-technical credit in a primary concentration and a minimum of 24 hours in a secondary concentration area, complete all general education and institutional courses and meet ENMU residency requirements. All bachelor degrees require a minimum of 120 hours and a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Each BAAS degree plan is designed to allow you to earn your bachelor's degree within two years of full-time enrollment and several concentrations are offered 100% online.

The BAAS degree is a fully accredited baccalaureate degree program. ENMU is nationally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

BAAS Program Details

You can enter our BAAS Program to earn your bachelor's degree if you are working on your first bachelor's degree and have at least one of the following:

  1. Have an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree from an institution with accreditation recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) OR
  2. Have earned at least 30 credit hours in a career-technical related discipline from an institution with accreditation recognized by the CHEA
  1. Bachelor's Degree Requirements – Note: Students must successfully complete FYEX 1110 and a Diversity/Global upper-division requirement. The B.A.A.S. degree requires a minimum of 18 hours of upper-division courses, although a secondary concentration area may require significantly more. Developmental courses will not be counted toward graduation requirements.

  2. General Education Requirements (31-33 hours) – These courses may have been completed as part of the associate degree. Students must complete any additional general education courses required by ENMU that were not taken as part of an associate degree or certificate program.

  3. Primary Concentration Area (30-58 hours) – Technical or vocational major work transferred from an accredited institution or an approved program. The acceptance and transfer of coursework will be based on an analysis of each student's transcript. Only coursework designated as transfer credit may be considered for the primary concentration. Should the student decide to change degrees, any transferred career or technical courses would no longer apply toward a baccalaureate degree. Note: This requirement will be designated as "met" for those students who have been awarded an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree that is based on a specific career, vocational or technical outcomes from an institution whose accreditation is from an accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or for those students who receive 30 or more hours of credit for the completion of a vocational or technical certificate program from an institution whose accreditation is from an accrediting body recognized by CHEA.

  4. Secondary Concentration Area (24-33 hours) – An approved field of study consisting of a minimum of 24 hours. Concentration must include at least 15 hours of upper-division courses. Each course must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher. Note: Upper-division courses may have prerequisites that must be taken first.
