If you're a fan of Jack Keruoac, Junot Diaz or Charles Dickens, dream about NYC's Shakespeare in the Park, can't stop talking about the cultural implications of your favorite TV show or already started on the next great post-apocalyptic novel, being an English major at ENMU will let you study what you love. ENMU offers courses in American, British and World literature, including popular culture and film, creative writing and technical writing. On average, an English major's time frame for degree completion is four years, but this does vary from student to student.

ENMU is committed to helping you finance your education. In addition to grants, loans, and scholarships offered University-wide, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers scholarships for current students, four of which are scholarships exclusively for English majors. Additionally, many Eastern New Mexico University students work part-time jobs to help finance their education.
