Career Opportunities

Many people assume that Spanish Majors can only look forward to careers in education. However, being bilingual opens opportunities in almost any career field, especially in the justice system, social work, and the medical field. Many of our Spanish majors choose to double major, so they can increase their job opportunities. Often salaries are higher for those who are bilingual. Additionally, some Spanish majors seek careers as translators. In addition to advisors within the department, Career Services offers free job placement assistance to all students.

High School Courses

If you are hoping to study Spanish with a secondary licensure, two years of Spanish and English composition courses will help prepare you for this degree.
