Computer Basics

These computer classes are definitely user friendly! Patrick Newman, a specialist with ENMU’s Information Technology Services department, has two informative classes planned for the fall. First, Patrick will introduce the new Windows operating system, Vista, and show as many of the ins and outs of the new system as time will allow. Later that week, Patrick will also offer a class specifically for those who want to learn more about Office 2007. The classes require no intensive technical skills, and Patrick welcomes seasoned users who just need to download an update on everything new in the computer world. Sign up for both sessions and receive a discounted rate of $45. Prepayment confirms your spot.

How to Sell on eBay

Don’t suffer from clutter any longer: eBay, the online-auction Web site, is used by many to supplement their income. Users simply create ads for unwanted items, using pictures and descriptions, then open the item up for bidding around the world. Depending on the rarity and condition of the item, the competition to purchase can get very heated, and the seller of the item reaps the benefits. Many have made thousands, simply trying to get rid of the mess at home.

Susan Allen wants to help you make your eBay selling experience as successful as possible. Join her for two classes that will teach you the basics of ad design on the site, digital photography skills needed to properly capture your item visually and operating procedures for payment programs, such as PayPal. Susan asks that you either bring a salable item, along with your digital camera, or an electronic image of your item, as well as a notepad and pen for taking notes. Who knows what treasure you’ve had in your house all this time? Let Sue help you show it to the world.
